Bridging Practice and Scholarship

“No research without action,
no action without research.”

— Kurt Lewin
My sustained dedication to research stems from my experience as a musician and educator, together with a desire to understand the dynamics I encountered in practice through methodological lenses.

Today, I strive to bridge the gap between academic enquiry – often perceived by practitioners as abstract – and practice-led insights, which theorists warn may lack methodological rigour. From this perspective, I view the dialogue between research and practice as mutually reinforcing, each challenging and enriching the other.
